Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy massage is the ancient art of applying essential oils to the skin using special hand techniques. The process helps with relaxation, to loosen tight muscles, unblock tissues and is soothing to the nervous system.

Essential Oils are selected for compatibility with your skin type, your health and also your needs. They moisturise the skin, offer a wonderful aroma and help to produce new skin cells.

Aromatherapy massage provides stress relief for mind, body and and spirit. It is not a substitute for medical attention, but can help in many ways to relax the body and relieve a variety of different physical and psychological symptoms. With regular treatment and a positive attitude it can help prevent stress and promote general wellbeing which can result in a healthier, happier lifestyle.

Janet works from her practice in Walton, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. This is in the north of the city, near the junction of the A15/A47, close to Morrison's. Address details are given out at the time of booking.

Please note: all treatments require a short consultation prior to treatment. This is a legal requirement and is 100% confidential. Please ensure that you allow enough time for your treatment including consultation.

Full Body Aromatherapy Massage

This treatment costs £39 and lasts between one and one and a quarter hours.

Back, Neck & Shoulders Aromatherapy Massage

 This treatment costs £27.50 and lasts for half an hour.

Face, Neck & Shoulders Aromatherapy Massage

This treatment costs £22.50 and lasts for up to half an hour.

Aromatherapy Facial Spa

This treatment costs £29 and lasts for up to 45 minutes.

This treatment can be combined with a variety of Aromatherapy treatments as follows:

Aromatherapy Facial Spa + Back, (Face), Neck & Shoulders Massage £47.50

Janet used to offer Reiki Healing and Aromatherapy treatments as a combination, but this is no longer possible. Janet has recently upgraded her services to provide Reconnective Healing. This is an amazing form of healing that includes (and expands beyond) Reiki and all other known forms of energy healing. Reconnective Healing sessions can be booked separately, and more information can be found on the relevant page.

Treatment Terms and Conditions

  • All Aromatherapy massages require a short consultation at the start of the initial session to check for health contra-indications, allergies and sensitivities regarding essential oils. This can last up to 15 minutes and is free. This a one off requirement and only a brief update is necessary for follow up sessions. This does not take valuable time from your treatment.
  • All information given by you is treated in strict confidence.
  • All prices are fully inclusive (no vat is chargeable)
  • Janet carries full treatment and public liability insurance.
  • All treatments are by appointment only. Please contact me if you have any questions or to make an appointment on 07795 483462 or by email at info@janetthornton.co.uk.
  • Janet cannot carry out treatments if you suffer from any of the following: Epilepsy, heart disease, deep vein thrombosis, any infectious disease and women in the first 3 months of pregnancy.
  • Persons' with diabetes (and certain other medical conditions) require a doctor’s letter stating that your condition is stable and that he/she agrees that an Aromatherapy/Reiki treatment is suitable for you. It is your responsibility to request a doctor’s consent letter.
  • Payment is required on the day of treatment by cash or cheque (with a valid bankers card) only. Credit/debit cards cannot be accepted as payment methods on the day of treatment.
  • Payment via debit or credit card is accepted in advance only via PayPal. If you wish to use this method, please contact me on 07795 483462 or by email at info@janetthornton.co.uk.
  • We are committed to protecting the privacy and personal information that customers provide to us and comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.  We will not sell or pass your details to third parties without obtaining your consent.
  • We may occasionally contact you to let you know of any special promotions, new services or news that may be of interest to you. If you do not wish me to, please contact me.
  • Please note that due to high demand, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required on cancellations. This is to ensure that all clients have a fair chance to book an appointment at their desired time. Cancellations made within 24 hours will be charged in full.

Please Note: I only provide legitimate and professional services. I do not offer any services other than those stated. Respectable underwear is required for all clients. I reserve the right to refuse treatment.
