The following treatments and services to meet Your health and healing requirements: Aromatherapy Massage, Reconnective Healing, and Detox Foot Spa treatments.

Janet’s practice has a warm, relaxing environment. All services are carried out in Walton, Peterborough, PE4. This is in the north of the city, near the junction of the A15/A47, close to Morrison’s. Further location details are given out at the time of booking. Home visits are available in special circumstances only, within 15 miles of Peterborough town centre.

For all initial massage treatments, please allow an extra 10-15 minutes for a consultation at the start of the appointment. This is necessary to assess for health issues and possible contraindications (i.e. allergies, high/low blood pressure, etc) and allows Janet to choose a suitable blend to meet your requirements. Please ensure that you allow enough time in your schedule to include this.

Full Body Aromatherapy Massage

 This treatment includes using a number of Aromatherapy massage techniques on the back, legs, feet, abdomen, upper chest, shoulders, arms, neck and face. No other parts of the body are included, but any of the above body parts can be excluded if you so wish. Towels are used to cover the parts of the body not being treated.

This treatment costs £39 and lasts between one and one and a quarter hours. Please allow approximately one hour 45 minutes for your treatment and initial consultation.  

Back, Neck & Shoulders Aromatherapy Massage

This treatment includes using a number of Aromatherapy massage techniques on the back, neck and shoulders. A towel or blanket is used to cover the lower half of the body.

This treatment costs £27.50 and lasts for half an hour. Please allow about an hour for your treatment and initial consultation.

Face, Neck & Shoulders Aromatherapy Massage

 This treatment includes using a number of Aromatherapy massage techniques on the shoulders, neck and face. Towels are used to cover the parts of the body not being treated.

This treatment costs £22.50 and lasts for up to half an hour. Please allow about an hour for your treatment and initial consultation.
Aromatherapy Facial Spa

This treatment includes the use of a facial sauna and follows with a face and neck and shoulder massage with pure essential oils. The facial sauna helps unblock the pores and cleanse skin. It can also help clear the head and the respiratory system. The face and neck and shoulder treatment releases tensions from your day and helps you relax.  

This treatment costs £29 and lasts for up to 45 minutes. Please allow approximately one and a quarter hours for your treatment and initial consultation.

This treatment can be combined with a variety of treatments as follows:

 Reconnective Healing Sessions

Reconnective Healing is a comprehensive new form of healing that is incredibly effective. It not only includes, but expands beyond all known forms of ‘energy’ healing. Discovered by successful chiropractor Dr Eric Pearl in the mid 90’s, many people have had amazing healings of Cancer, ME, MS, Rheumatoid and Osteoarthritis, Cerebral Palsy, plus many mental, physical and emotional afflictions.

One Reconnective Healing session lasts 30 minutes and costs £36.

A course of 3 Reconnective Healing sessions costs £99 (a saving of £9), to be paid at the first appointment.

 Detox Foot Spa Treatments

Detox Foot Spa treatments are now available to help detoxify your body, revitalise your energy and improve your health! It re-balances the body by removing negative ions in the lymphatic system, thus creating renewed energy and a greater feeling of health and well-being.

Detox Foot Spa treatments are not suitable for people with a pacemaker or have a metal implant fitted in the body.

A single Detox Foot Spa treatment costs £22.50.

A course of 5 Detox Foot Spa treatments costs £100, to be paid on the first appointment. Alternatively, if you wish to try before you commit, £20 will be charged for the first treatment, and a remaining £80 for a further 5 treatments. This is the only special offer available with this treatment.

Treatment Terms and Conditions

  • All Aromatherapy massages require a short consultation at the start of the initial session to check for health contra-indications, allergies and sensitivities regarding essential oils. This can last up to 15 minutes and is free. This a one off requirement and only a brief update is necessary for follow up sessions. This does not take valuable time from your treatment.
  • All information given by you is treated in strict confidence.
  • All prices are fully inclusive (no vat is chargeable)
  • Janet carries full treatment and public liability insurance.

  • Janet cannot carry out treatments for massage treatments if you suffer from any of the following: Epilepsy, heart disease, deep vein thrombosis, any infectious disease and women in the first 3 months of pregnancy.
  • Persons' with diabetes (and certain other medical conditions) require a doctor’s letter stating that your condition is stable and that he/she agrees that an Aromatherapy or Massage treatment is suitable for you. It is your responsibility to request a doctor’s consent letter.
  • Payment is required on the day of treatment by cash or cheque (with a valid bankers card) only. Credit/debit cards cannot be accepted as payment methods on the day of treatment.
  • Payment via debit or credit card is accepted in advance only via PayPal. If you wish to use this method, please contact me on 07795 483462 or by email at info@janetthornton.co.uk. There is a cash machine at the local shop nearby and at Morrison's. 
  • We are committed to protecting the privacy and personal information that customers provide to us and comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.  We will not sell or pass your details to third parties without obtaining your consent.
  • We may occasionally contact you to let you know of any special promotions, new services or news that may be of interest to you. If you do not wish me to, please contact me.
  • Please note that due to high demand, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required on cancellations. This is to ensure that all clients have a fair chance to book an appointment at their desired time. Cancellations made within 24 hours will be charged in full.

Please Note: I only provide legitimate and professional services. I do not offer any services other than those stated. Respectable underwear is required for all clients. I reserve the right to refuse treatment.
