About Janet Thornton
Janet has had a keen interest in natural health and wellbeing for many years and has always done her best to maintain a healthy lifestyle. She has been interested in nature since childhood. She first discovered Aromatherapy in the early 1990's, when she bought her first Aromatherapy scented candle, using pure essential oils. She has gained first hand experience of many different essential oils over the years, mostly in an oil burner to provide an uplifting or pleasant atmosphere.
Janet’s qualifications in the holistic field include Anatomy & Physiology, Swedish Massage; (VCTC, July 2006), Aromatherapy, Business Awareness (ITEC, July 2007), The Emotion Code (2013), The Body Code (2018) and The Belief Code (2024.)She has actively participated in professional and self-development courses and workshops for over 20 years including Reiki (Level 1 & 2, 2001 & 2007), Crystal Healing (2007), Theta Healing, Reference Point Therapy, PSYCH-K, Reconnective Healing, Access Consciousness Bars, Energetic Face Lift, Kinergetics RESET, Kinergetics Balancing Nutrition and Toxicity (BNT), Janet is fully qualified and insured to practice all of these modalities professionally. One of Janet's philosophies is: If you don't clear what keeps you stuck, then how can you expect to move forward effectively? With the modalities that she uses, she helps herself and others do just that.
Janet has quite a collection of Crystals that she uses for herself and work and has attended many Health and Wellbeing events with Crystals, Essential Oils and Aromatherapy products since 2009. In August 2025, and with great excitement, she took over the reins of a popular UK based online crystal website called Serendipity Crystals. This was quite a bold move indeed and a big step forward. Janet is dedicated to helping herself and others in ways that she finds to be highly effective and bring positive results. She actively works with Holistic Therapies and Crystals under the same roof. Without many of these tools, life would simply not be the same.
Janet currently enjoys yoga, walking, cycling and meditation as part of her exercise and relaxation routine. She has previously taken part in soft martial arts such as Tai Chi and Chi Gong. She always integrates the most useful skills she has learned into her daily life.
Janet began work as an Aromatherapist in October 2007 at The Homeopathic Consultancy in Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire, and at The Crystal Dragon, Caversham, Berkshire. In May 2008 she relocated to Peterborough, Cambridgeshire where she works from her relaxing healing practice in Walton; in the north of the city, near the junction of the A15/A47, close to Morrison's. Janet spends part of the year in The Netherlands, where she practices online healing modalities such as The Emotion Code, The Body Code, The Belief Code and Psych-K.
